Choir Peformance
It was the performance night and I was at home. I checked the time it was 5:30 so I started to get ready and left. I reached school at 5:55. I was so excited to see my friends as I jumped up and down. Once we got on the bus the whole ride I was looking out the window as I could see the reflection of the bus. When we got there we squashed inside a room and then my line was going up on stage first. I was so freaked out. I was alright in the room but as I got up on stage I wanted to fidget but I didn’t. I sat in my place and looked for the teachers I spotted none but then I saw Andre’s parents they smiled down at him. I kept looking for the teachers but still I found none. We started the national anthem and I gulped and then started into the song. It was so scary my face was burning up as I touched it with my hand. We kept going through the songs and my legs ached from standing up. I was so relieved to sit down but tried to keep my hands on my lap as I fidgeted. Song by song it went and I watched the acts. I stared at the conductor but people infront blocked my view. When it was finished my line went off the stage first and we sqashed up in the room again. Chit chatter went on. I was so relieved it was finished. We reached school at 10 o clock, once I saw my parents I ran to them and we drove back home. I had a big dinner as I was starving and then went into deep sleep as I was exhausted. It was a great night and I had fun.

Recycled Art
Before After
This is our Recycled art. We used old clothes and ripped them in strips and made this plait. Then we rolled it into a circle and sewed it and then it turns into a placemat. I used many different colours in mine. I had lots of fun making it.

Jigsaw Art Self Assesment
Room 15 Jigsaw Art
Self Assessment Form
1.I have used enlargement skills to create a jigsaw artwork with our class:
I folded my publish piece lightly and my small piece to get the right enlargement in the right places.
2. I have used a range of pastel techniques:
I did a lot of blending because there can’t be one colour in only one place and I also did so much smudging in places because there were heaps of different colours and it looked like strips of colours so I had to do a lot of smudging.
3. I have looked closely at the colours on the small piece and used the same colours on the enlargement: I looked at every teeny tiny colour on the small piece and added it to my big one there were heaps of colours everywhere in my big piece so I believe I did look closely to the colours.
4. I have blended the pastels using different colours:
I blended the white and dark blue to make a lighter blue than dark blue but darker than light blue. I also blended in some colours to make some impact in one place.
5. What I would do differently next time:
I would like to see others and see how my bit fixes in and make it more accurate.
6. Other comments (what I like best and why, what I don’t like and why):
Tina: I like how made it accurate and I used different colours and different techniques maybe next time I could make it look more 3D on my 1st one. Maybe I could see others and see how my one fits in and make it related to the other pieces so it fits in perfectly.
Aho:You used different techniques and it made a lot of impact and it looked 3D maybe next time you could use some light blue as well instead of just dark blue.
Miss Lewis’ Comments (leave this space for Miss Lewis to complete):
Thank you for completing two jigsaw pieces Tina, you really helped the class in doing so. I agree with what you have said, you did look very closely at your small piece, and it shows. Your colours look accurate and you have done some nice blending. I agree with your suggestion for next time. It would have been good to see how the enlargements fit together before focussing on the colour.

Jigsaw Art My Experience
This is our jigsaw art. We copied Warren Pohatu’s fish painting but we did the painting in pastel. A jigsaw art is when each person (in our class Rm 15) got an A4 paper and did our draft, to help us we had folded the paper in quarters and we also got a teeny tiny piece in black and white which we copied on our draft. Once we were done our draft we got our final copy. We had done light pencil lines to show where to draw and then we started with pastel we used different techniques like blending, smudging and even we used the pastel on the side to make an effect as well as we couldn’t have one colour on one place because then it wouldn’t make impact. We had to make it 3D which means the paper couldn’t show or then we would have to do everything dark on your paper. Everybody had a great individual but once we put it together, wait we couldn't, because Miss Lewis mucked up the numbers, by accident, it wasn’t her fault, but it kinda was, but not really. So some very smart people on the mat put the little pieces together which helped us put our publish pieces together by that order. We had butterflies in our stomach’s because we were so excited to see how’d the finish art would look like. It looked like rubbish all the lines were places you could hardly see the fish but to be true it was okay everybody had worked really hard. I especially liked the last one and I found out it was Miss Lewis’s pastel art, she could be an artist. I guess we all did pretty well but maybe next time we could put all our drafts together to see how it fits in and make it better on our publish. This was our whole experience. We learnt some techniques like smudging to create a effect to help us when we do our bit. I had finished 2 peices.
