Jigsaw Art My Experience

This is our jigsaw art. We copied Warren Pohatu’s fish painting but we did the painting in pastel. A jigsaw art is when each person (in our class Rm 15) got an A4 paper and did our draft, to help us we had folded the paper in quarters and we also got a teeny tiny piece in black and white which we copied on our draft. Once we were done our draft we got our final copy. We had done light pencil lines to show where to draw and then we started with pastel we used different techniques like blending, smudging and even we used the pastel on the side to make an effect as well as we couldn’t have one colour on one place because then it wouldn’t make impact. We had to make it 3D which means the paper couldn’t show or then we would have to do everything dark on your paper. Everybody had a great individual but once we put it together, wait we couldn't, because Miss Lewis mucked up the numbers, by accident, it wasn’t her fault, but it kinda was, but not really. So some very smart people on the mat put the little pieces together which helped us put our publish pieces together by that order. We had butterflies in our stomach’s because we were so excited to see how’d the finish art would look like.  It looked like rubbish all the lines were places you could hardly see the fish but to be true it was okay everybody had worked really hard. I especially liked the last one and I found out it was Miss Lewis’s pastel art, she could be an artist. I guess we all did pretty well but maybe next time we could put all our drafts together to see how it fits in and make it better on our publish. This was our whole experience. We learnt some techniques like smudging to create a effect to help us when we do our bit. I had finished 2 peices.
