Once upon a time there lived a poor widow who had an only son named Jack. She was very poor, for times had been hard, and Jack was too young to work. Almost all the furniture in the little cottage had been sold to buy bread, until at last there was nothing left worth selling, but the good cow, Milky White, who remained throughout the years, and she gave the most tastiest milk every morning. But one sad day Milky White produced no milk, and then things started to look bad indeed.
His mother said to him “Go sell Milky White at the market. She is no use for us no more”. She waited and waited for Jack’s arrival. He had returned with some worthless beans. Jack tried to convince his mother that these beans are no ordinary beans they are magic beans. Of course his mother didn’t believe him. His mother was furious, she threw the beans out the window. “Cheer up mother” said Jack.
The next morning, Emma, his mother woke up to find Jack no where to be found. She was worried out of her mind. She cried her eyes out sitting at home that she had not noticed the beanstalk outside.
Later that day she heard a knock on the door. She was so relieved that Jack was back. He carried a bag in his hand. “What is that?” she asked. “Mother I have some food” he replied. She wondered where he had got it from. But she was to hungry to argue. She had a splendid dinner that day.
The day after she asked him where he had got it from. Jack told her about the adventure he had with the giants. His mother was so pleased that they would have enough to eat now. Then she told him to go and get some more and when she heard him say that the giant counted his money every day she told him to go get some of that money. He has so much he wouldn’t mind to share some of that gold she said to herself trying not to feel guilty. That day he went up the beanstalk and his mother did the housework as she waited. When Jack came back his mother was gleeful.
The next day he let himself in, now his wife did not like Jack anymore and she was determined to find him and cook him for lunch for her beloved husband. Her husband was very angry. He was very protective of his money. So the giant climbed out of the beanstalk to find Jack. When Jack saw the giant coming down the stalk he immediately rushed to cut it down. He succeeded and the beanstalk fell across the land.
I was proud of my dear son for saving the lives of the villagers. We were able to take the giant to the museum with the money we had and now he was an ancient artifact. Jack and I lived happily ever after.
This is my writing about Jack and the beanstalk. We wrote in a different perspective (Point of view). I have written my story on the mothers perspective.
